Sasha Graham Givans is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in behavioral health. Her clinical background includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance use disorders. As the founder of Pathway Psychiatric Services, Sasha is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that focuses on personalized treatment plans to help each individual achieve their mental health goals. Sasha has extensive knowledge in psychopharmacology and believes in a holistic approach to mental health care that integrates medication management, counseling, and lifestyle interventions.
Sasha demonstrated exceptional academic and literary excellence from an early age. At just seven years old, she began entering essay and creative writing competitions, and has been the recipient of numerous recognitions. Sasha had a dynamic educational path, focused on challenging herself academically and completing her education in an accelerated timeframe; including advancing two grade levels. She also participated in gifted and talented education. Her dedication to learning and professional growth was further recognized with the prestigious Bridget Saunders Award for academic nursing excellence, induction in Sigma Theta Tau honorary nursing society, and Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society for academic excellence. Throughout her profession, Sasha received numerous recognitions for her professional acumen and work ethic, and received the award for Nurse of the Year twice in previous roles.
Sasha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Hartford. She later pursued a Master’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Saint Joseph, with a focus in Advanced Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health. Sasha has dedicated her entire profession to behavioral health, and has an unwavering commitment to staying at the forefront of psychiatric care, by regularly engaging in professional development and utilizing evidence-based practices to provide the highest standard of care.
When not working with patients, Sasha stays informed about current events and following political developments to better understand how they impact society and mental health. She is an avid reader who enjoys the outdoors, especially visiting parks, beaches, hiking, spending time with her loving family and her beloved poodle Francisco “Isco”.
